1. Overview

Workline is an internal workforce management platform. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect about you and how we use it.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account info: name, email, phone, role, location, and department, provided by your employer.
  • Authentication: hashed password (we never store plain-text passwords).
  • Time-tracking data: clock-in/out timestamps, break entries, scheduled shifts, and timesheet totals.
  • Geolocation: approximate coordinates captured at clock-in/out, used for geofence verification.
  • Device info: IP address and browser/OS info for security and audit logging.
  • Notifications: push-subscription tokens needed to deliver shift reminders and messages.
  • Messages: direct messages and group-chat content you send through the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate the scheduling and time-tracking features you use.
  • To calculate hours worked, breaks taken, and overtime for payroll.
  • To verify clock-in attempts against approved locations (geofencing).
  • To send shift reminders, late-punch alerts, and team messages.
  • To maintain audit logs for compliance and dispute resolution.

4. Sharing of Information

Your information is shared only with: (a) your employer's authorized managers and administrators, (b) infrastructure providers that host the Service under standard confidentiality agreements, and (c) law-enforcement or regulators when legally required. We do not sell your information.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and time-tracking records for as long as your employer requires for payroll, tax, and labor-law compliance. You may request deletion of personally identifiable data subject to those retention requirements.

6. Security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing. Sessions use signed tokens. Communication with the Service uses HTTPS. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is perfectly secure.

7. Your Choices

  • Notifications: disable in your device or browser settings at any time.
  • Geolocation: deny location permission in your browser; some clock-in features may be unavailable.
  • Account changes: contact your manager to update or remove your account.

8. Children

The Service is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under that age.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

10. Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy should be directed to your workforce administrator.
